Uplifting and celebrating Black lives should be a priority for us as not only UCLA students but as SCOPE Patient Health Advocates. We have compiled a list of resources pertaining to the BLM movement in hopes that we can not only further educate ourselves, but work to be allies of the Black community and better address racial inequality.

LGBTQIA+ Pride Month is celebrated every June in remembrance of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a series of demonstrations in New York in response to the police raid of Stonewall Inn, a gay club in Manhattan, which would be a catalyst for the gay liberation movement in the United States.  Click here for a list of resources pertaining to the movement.

Wellness is defined by the World Health Organization as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." Working towards wellness and mindfulness is important for managing stress, reducing the risk of disease, and ensuring positive interactions.
