The main goal of the Outreach Team is to create media (video, podcasts, articles, letters to policymakers, animations, graphics) to advocate for topics in public health and SCOPE PHA’s mission. As an Outreach Team member, you’ll take trips off campus to learn more about community needs and create media projects to advocate for issues you’re passionate about. Side projects may include making videos documenting PHA events and initiating collaborations with different organizations on campus. If you’re passionate about media, community service, and collaborations with organizations on- and off-campus, this team is a good fit for you! Meeting times will feature workshops on how to use different Adobe programs (Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop), how to conduct interviews, how to write “for the ear,” how to read from a script for videos and podcasts, and how to write articles.
